Fall Decor Home Tour

Fall Decor Home Tour

I was sitting in the backyard the other day, and it happened! A rustle of leaves blew across the yard. (No, I did not pull them from the tree myself lol).  Even though we still have pretty high temps, my fall inspiration flew into over drive! I immediately dragged all the fall decor boxes from storage, and started designing!

There is just something about the natural and warm colors of Fall that speak to my heart! It’s a magical time of year when the outdoors explode with color and you can enjoy being outside without turning into a puddle. It’s also an opportunity to redesign my decor, which we all know is one of my favorites!

If you love the natural colors of fall, baskets, farmhouse, and pumpkins this Fall Decor post is for you! I hope you are just as inspired by Fall as I am, and enjoy the post!! Let me know which is your favorite(s) in the comments!

You can’t go wrong with large woven baskets and shabby candles! Add a little Babies Breath for an easy floral addition that you can either find at the craft store or pick yourself. The burlap table runner gives it a little more color variation. And, as always, I couldn’t resist throwing a few candles in. If you cant find white pumpkins, I’ll let you in on a little secret. I got orange pumpkins from the dollar store and spray painted them white!

This leaf crate is a super simple option for any table! You can use a basket, crate, or bowl. Anything you have around the house already. Throw in an artificial leaf arrangement and some brass candle sticks. If you don’t have any brass candlesticks lying around, check out my How to Thrift Like a Pro post and pick some up the next time you’re out shopping!

If you’re a fan of the minimal look, you’ll love this option! A shallow woven basket (or Tobacco basket for a more Farmhouse look) with a nest of greenery, branch wreath, and a pumpkin to finish it off.  You can use one or line a long table with several for even more of a Fall Decor statement!

After asking the opinion of my styling consultant (aka my amazing sister), it was brought to my attention that this one may appear to be more of a winter tablescape than a Fall Decor option. However, it was one of my FAVORITES and I couldn’t bring myself to not include it. It’s a great option for those of us who may not want to change decor for every season and would blend between Fall and Winter really well!

I saved the best for last! This muted color palette is BEAUTIFUL, and also very popular right now! I am a huge fan of heirloom pumpkins, so i whipped out my spray paint and made my own less expensive version. Nested on a pile of greenery, next to a layered plate will leave everyone impressed for your Fall or Thanksgiving gatherings!

With tiny hands all over my house, I try to keep things contained as much as possible! I found this white wash basket the other day and immediately thought it would be the perfect contrast on my antique dresser. I filled it with greenery, a candle, and more painted pumpkins! This is an easy template with many variations. You can easily change it to orange pumpkins or candle sticks and it would still be amazing! If you make your own rendition, share a picture on the This Growing Home Facebook Page. I’d love to see how yours turn out!!

Even though I love the heirloom pumpkins, these white ones pop off the greenery in such an amazing way! The brass candle sticks give it an antiqued Farmhouse look that is perfect for this Fall Decor round up!

Mantle

Not everyone is a fan of the patina silver look. But paired with the changing leaves colors, it looks too amazing to not include! The white door I found from a flea market (and it even has a natural wood reverse side!!). I love the rustic Farmhouse look of it! And it worked perfectly for covering an outlet in the middle of my wall.

This is another minimal look. The brass candle sticks pop so well off the white background! And the greenery gives a little variety. The purple and brown hues of the greenery give it a Fall Decor feel. The simplicity is definitely Farmhouse elegant! For a touch of character, I created a “GIVE THANKS” banner. I cut out each banner and glued them onto a music page background, then hole punched them and hung them on a hemp string. If you’d like your own banner, check out my Printable Library and print your own!

Here is a more elaborate version of the last Fall Decor Mantle for those of you who don’t prefer the minimal look. Wood elements are perfect for Fall! So I added a vine wreath and some giant pine cones! If you prefer more color, you can add some stacked books or colorful leaves.

I have definitely seen a trend for the muted fall decor as well as a coastal theme! I thought this Mantle design would be perfect for both! It has amazing pastel heirloom pumpkins and the soft natural wood woven baskets. I threw in some Shabby candle sticks (that I made myself, let me know if you would like a tutorial on how I did it!!) for my own Farmhouse style!

I am so in love with how well this one turned out!! It is the perfect balance of minimal and Farmhouse styles. I opted for the natural wood side of my repurposed door and added natural vine wreaths for a symmetrical feel. Add a bed of greenery wrapped around some amazing DIY black candlesticks and some white pumpkins and you couldn’t ask for a better look! This would work perfectly for an entry or side table if you don’t have a mantle to spruce up.
