Science Printables Vol. 2

Now that Christmas break is coming to a close, it’s time to start thinking about school again! These K-1st Science Printables are exactly what your little ones need to start this year excited about school.

After making the first set of Science Printables, I loved them so much I had to make more! They were such a fun way of introducing science to my little one. And my son LOVED them too! Every week he was excited to see the new science printables and learn the terms.

If you’re interested in Vol. 1 of these Science Printables, check out my other post HERE.

You Can Make Your Own!

Whether you’re a home school mama, or just love working and learning with your little ones, you will absolutely LOVE these Science Printables.

To create your own science printables, purchase a copy of the pdf pages from my printable shop, cut out the illustrated terms, laminate both the full pages and cut outs, use velcro dots (I got mine from the craft section of Dollar Tree) to apply the cut out terms to the full page illustrations.

It’s that easy! Keep reading for a link to my printable shop to print your own set!

Some Parts of the Geosphere

I went with images rather than illustrations for this one, and I think it turned out beautifully! The layers go from largest to smallest to help your little learners understand how each of the layers work together.

These work for both younger learners who can use the sizes and older learners who can use the words, to organize the terms!

If you print your own copies, I used the velcro tabs in different locations to help them lay flat. It can also help determine order if you keep the words horizontal and match the velcro dots.

Three Kinds of Rocks

While this might be the most simple of the Science Printables, it turned out to be one of my favorites! The little rock characters are adorable.

This is perfect for little learners because there is no matching necessary. It’s about placing the “faces” while they hear the terms. Connecting the physical and auditory learning.

Each Continents Highest Mountain

Geography was never my favorite subject because of all the terms and memorization. But these science printables make it colorful and fun!

Just match the colored tabs to their corresponding dots. I did my best to make the locations as accurate as possible so your little learners can begin recognizing locations on the map.

Four Kinds of Volcanoes

I had a tough time with this one at first, but I think I nailed it! I especially love the extinct and active representations! These “hot head” illustrations are so fun and help tell a story to better understand the terms.

Some Parts of a Volcano

Here is another matching terms science printable. You may need to help with reading for younger learners, but the smaller terms are a great way to start introducing phonics and reading skills!

Four Types of Ocean Floors

At first, I wasn’t sure how to depict the ocean floor in a fun and simple way. So instead I opted for an ocean related science printable. And I love how perfectly these boat and smoke cloud illustrations turned out.

While you’re putting together you’re own science printables, you can place the smoke clouds wherever you’d like with your velcro dots.

Some Ocean Zones

This is a simple color matching with terms science printables. You can read the term to your little one as they match it to the correct color.

The land representation, helps your little ones understand how the terms relate to ocean depth. And can be explained in more detail for older learners.

Some Parts of the Atmosphere

Atmosphere can be a tough subject for younger learners. But these gears are a great way to make it fun and interactive! These science printables are also color matching for younger learners.

Circles of Latitude

I’m afraid that coming up with an easy way to remember which term goes with which line is going to be up to you, because this mama still mixes them up!

But these illustrations will make it more fun and memorable! (For me and my little ones!)

Some Kinds of Weather Fronts

I have absolutely no idea what the colorful banners on the weather channel mean, but my version is a great way for our little learners to memorize the terms!

While making mine, I used a TON of velcro dots so the banners could be moved and re-positioned however my son wanted. You can do the same or stick with a designated spot for each. However you want to set it up is perfect.

Some Types of Clouds

Here are more science printables that have no wrong way to use. These adorable clouds can be placed anywhere and help connect auditory with physical placement for learning.

Some Markings on the Globe

Alright mamas, moment of honesty. In true mommy fashion, I was running behind and wasn’t able to finish before I needed to print these pages.

But, I wanted to add them as soon as I finished them. I also thought it might be cool to show you how they will print out from the Printable Shop.

Happy Learning!

I can’t wait to get started on school with these fun science printables! My son has already been trying to sneak peeks at them and has been asking non-stop to use them!

I love being able to make learning fun for little ones, and these easy science printables are the perfect way to do that! If you have some little learners, whether you home school or not, I’m sure they would love these interactive science printables.

Oh good! I combined some of the cutout pages thinking it was a great way to save paper or printing costs. But I realize now (after several people have asked about it) that it may have been a little confusing πŸ˜€
