Science Printables Vol. 5

I can’t believe it’s time for another volume of science printables! Even though it’s a little out of the box for the website, I love making them as a learning resource for my little ones. And I can’t resist sharing them with all of you.

So if you’re looking for a fun way to introduce some science concepts to your little learners, hopefully these will help!

Science Printables:

What are four types of tissue?

Science Printables:

Which bones make up the axial skeleton?

Okay, so I was a little nervous about this one because not everyone is a fan of skulls. But I have to admit I’m loving it. I went with a skull and crossbones because it represents an X to help remember the aXial skeleton.

Science Printables Vol. 5

And it just so happens that there are four parts of that skeletal system! So they can state each part as they place the crossbones on the sheet.

Science Printables:

What are three kinds of muscle?

When I say to my little ones, “show me your muscles!” They immediately throw up their arms into a flexed position. So what could be better to portray our different kinds of muscle?

Science Printables Vol. 5

This science printable is a simple recitation format. Where they say the terms and place the picture. There isn’t a specific alignment or matching so you can place the weights wherever or however you’d like.

Science Printables:

What are three parts of the nervous system?

Whenever I put together these science printables, there are always a few that end up being my favorite. One’s where I “pat myself on the back” because I’m so excited with how they turned out. This is definitely one of them!

Science Printables Vol. 5

The brains come out of each head and they place while reciting again. But it’s simple enough that they won’t be distracted by the process, and interesting enough that it will be a helpful visual for memorization.

Science Printables:

What are the five main senses?

Who doesn’t love a silly face?! Especially little ones. So I couldn’t resist incorporating it in our senses question. And I think it turned out pretty cute!

Science Printables Vol. 5

I put the senses on the page in the general area where they’re located on a face. But you can get creative with this one and put your face parts wherever you’d like on the sheet. If you prefer, you can opt out of the velcro tabs like I used and have some fun each time you lay them down in a different place.

Science Printables:

What are some parts of the digestive system?

I’m not sure about you guys, but my kids favorite thing to eat is fruit! And honestly, I was looking for a way to make some of these science questions less….ichy! So for this one, I went with a colorful fruit bowl!

Science Printables Vol. 5

Start with an empty bowl and add fruit for each of the parts of the digestive system as they recite them!

Science Printables:

What are four parts of the excretory system?

This one definitely took some brainstorming! But I think the end result is so fun! Obviously, I chose a water gun for a reason…but it’s up to you if you want to make that correlation with your littles or just leave it a fun picture reference.

Science Printables Vol. 5

For this one, I intentionally made the squirt gun a cut out. I wanted to be able to turn the gun toward each target to make it even more interesting and fun for little hands! You can do this as well or laminate it on the question page, whichever you prefer.

I’m still brainstorming a way to get the squirt gun to be able to spin! So if you have any ideas let me know!

Science Printables:

What are six parts of the circulatory system?

I realize that this is probably more visually appealing to parents more than littles. However, for my own purposes, I was determined to use a realistic rendering of a heart. It’s not anything crazy, but it at least helps give a visual reference for my little to picture as they grow and learn more in depth about the heart and the circulatory system.

Science Printables Vol. 5

Nothing fancy here. Just banners with each part. You can try to explain where each part is if you’d prefer. But I wanted to keep it pretty simplified and only as an introduction for my littles.

Science Printables:

What are four parts of the lymph system?

I’m gonna be honest with you….I had no idea where to go with this one! So, I just opted for something sciencey haha. Hopefully it makes sense and will be a helpful visual.

Science Printables Vol. 5

Each of the test viles are cut outs. You can place them wherever you’d like on the page, but I’m addicted to symmetry so I just put them in each corner.

Science Printables:

What are some parts of the respiratory system?

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! This is definitely my FAVORITE page! I think these little people with their tiny lungs are so cute!

Science Printables Vol. 5

It’s very similar to the page on the circulatory system. Each of the lungs come off and you place them as you recite the term with your littles. Oh my word, so cute!

Science Printables:

What is the endocrine system?

Sometimes simple is best. I felt that was the case for this page. It can be difficult to do something really elaborate with a statement question that has a sentence rather than terms. So…I kept it as a conversation!

Science Printables Vol. 5

This would also be a great opportunity for littles who are making the reading jump to hold the cut out as they read the sentence and then lay it on the question page once they’ve gotten all the way through it.

Science Printables:

What are the major purposes of blood?

For this science printable, I wanted to stay away from things like blood splatter or needles. So instead, I tried to find illustrations that somewhat represented each of the purposes.

Science Printables Vol. 5

Not every image represents the purpose perfectly but I wanted to keep it in the theme of medical. And these were as close as I could manage in a simplistic format.

There ya have it! Hopefully these will be helpful as you work with your little ones. Science doesn’t have to be scary. It can be fun and supper accessible for all ages. And I love seeing my little ones get excited about something that definitely overwhelmed me years ago!

  1. Will you be posting Weeks 13-24 Science for Cycle 3?

  2. I am looking for your printable library to download volume 5. All the links only seem to go to the blog post and not the PDF. Thank you for this wonderful resource. It is a great way for my little ones to learn their memory work.
