Succulent Pumpkin Centerpiece

Succulent Pumpkin Centerpiece (DIY)

I absolutely LOVE Fall! Bring on the apple cider, cardigans, and plaid! The only down side to the cooler temperature is having to say goodbye to most of my outdoor plants. I love bringing fresh flowers into the house and keeping potted plants around for the cold months to add a little color. Succulents happen to be my current favorite (with the added bonus that they’re a little harder for me to kill!). I wasn’t ready to put them away for the winter, so I found the perfect way to incorporate them into my Fall home decor! This easy DIY Succulent Pumpkin Centerpiece turned out great, and I’m so excited to share it with you guys!

You Don’t Have to Spend a Fortune on Fall Home Decor!

Walking through the Target Fall home decor isles can quickly have you racking up the items on your wish list! But often, my budget isn’t on board with my vision. That’s when I stop in at my local thrift store and see what kind of magic I can work! The other day, I happened upon a pumpkin jar that was missing it’s lid and had some jack o lantern stickers on it. Immediately, I knew it had potential and it made the trip home with me! There are a ton of great pieces and fun DIYs to be found at your local thrift store that will help you save on Fall home decor! A Little Paint Goes a Long Way

Once home, I removed the stickers and gave it a scrub in the sink. It was already a beautiful orange Fall color, but wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I knew I wanted to use it as a pot for my succulents and thought white would be the perfect contrast! So, I broke out my bottle of spray paint that I keep stocked for just such an occasion! After a few coats of paint, my white pumpkin was looking great and my succulent pumpkin centerpiece was nearly finished!
